The 65-year old had big boots to fill when he took over from Gary Kirsten in 2011, following the World Cup victory, but has been far from convincing since.
According to sources , the BCCI are considering former Zimbabwe wicket keeper and current England coach Andy Flower as a potential replacement, and are already rumored to have held preliminary talks.
The source said, “Nothing has been finalised as these are preliminary talks with the Board likely to invite applications from suitable candidates for the post next month,”
Although many have been calling for captain MS Dhoni‘s sack after a series of bad results in Tests, it seems unlikely, considering the 32-year old’s previous track record!!
