One of the England's greatest spinners who
will always be remembered for his unbeatable record of 19 wickets in a
test match (no one has taken more than 17 wickets even in a first-class
match). In Ashes 1956 he became the first ever bowler to
take all 10 wickets in an innings after taking 9 in the first innings.
And that was not the first time he took all 10 wickets against Australia
as he also dismissed all their 10 batsmen in the tour game before that
series. He took 1944 wickets in 450 first-class matches.
