McCullum and Watling stand between visitors victory

 Losing 3 wickets in the first session of play the Kiwis fought back in the post-lunch sessions with Brendon McCullum and BJ Watling with 158 partnership for 6th wicket.Now,New Zealand are 252/5 (99 overs), lead by 6 runs with 5 wickets remaining. 



Kiwis lost three early wickets today and then one more in the second session. An innings defeat was on the cards but McCullum and Watling had different plans in their mind. They built a strong partnership between them. It brought New Zealand a lead in this match. India are still ahead in this game though as New Zealand are just leading by 6 runs as of now. McCullum scored a brilliant unbeaten ton while Watling scored a well-composed fifty. New Zealand will be hoping these two put on as many runs as still two days are remaining.


Kohli dropped at 9
McCullum capitalized the life got at 9 runs dropped by virat kohli at silly mid-on. From then he started playing carefully struggled for the runs stated slowly. But once again india got a tough chance while going for a staight drive in ishanth sharma bowling at 35 runs but opportunity goes in vain. From then he started  playing comfortably and completed his 9th century in his style going with a six. While Watling on the other end gave stand and completed his 50 with poor strike rate.

Zaheer ended the session with a spell of high intensity while Jadeja at the other end kept the runs down, bowling into a rough patch from over the stumps. McCullum, though, refused to pad up, and one of his attempts to play drew a leading edge and a confused call, which nearly ran Watling out.
